As the Government’s new Home Energy Upgrade Loan Scheme marks its one-year anniversary, Tipperary-based retrofitting service, Electric Ireland Superhomes has launched a new Retrofit Hub on the MyHome website offering advice and guidance on everything you need to retrofit your home.
The hub addresses a critical energy efficiency gap, as the majority of Irish homes have yet to achieve high energy efficiency ratings, with recent data showing that only 31% of dwellings with a BER audit currently hold an A or B rating.
The launch comes amid a dramatic shift in homebuyer priorities, with a 917% increase in engagement with MyHome's EcoRating feature in the past year.

The hub is designed to empower homebuyers with the knowledge and resources needed to make informed decisions about retrofitting, capitalise on available financial incentives, and contribute to a more sustainable housing stock.
This initiative directly addresses the growing demand for energy-efficient homes and the urgent need to accelerate Ireland's national retrofit efforts.
"Retrofitting is a significant investment, so getting expert advice upfront is crucial." said renowned architect and TV personality Hugh Wallace at the launch.
"This new hub is a fantastic resource for anyone looking to unlock the full potential of a home through energy-efficient upgrades. All this information is just a click away."
The Retrofit Hub features:
Detailed guides on various retrofitting measures, including insulation, heating systems, window upgrades, and renewable energy solutions.
Available grants and financial incentives for retrofitting projects, helping homeowners navigate the financial aspects of upgrading their homes.
Access to resources and guidance from Electric Ireland Superhomes experts.
