New community playground opens in Ballymacarbry

Since opening, the new community playground has experienced a hive of activity. The newest addition to the Ballymacarbry community offers an exciting and fun space for families to discover and play. 

The site of the new playground had previously been occasionally used as a carpark. The revamped space has been welcomed by locals. 

Ballymacarbry Community Centre has thanked those in the locality who have provided the much needed financial support through donations.

They have also stated that they continue to seek further financial support as they fall €35,000 short of the required fund of  €170,000.

In the meantime, a bank loan is being used to bridge this gap in finances.

The community centre asks for those in a position to donate to please do so in order to sustain an important lasting local amenity. For those who wish to donate, they can contact Ballymacarbry Community Centre at  086 032 8467. 

An official opening of the playground is planned for the coming weeks. Details of the event will be communicated soon.
