BREAKING: Liam Cahill unveils revamped Tipperary management team for 2027

Michael Bevans remains as head coach as Cahill adds fresh faces to his backroom team ahead of Tipperary’s 2027 campaign
Tipperary senior hurling manager Liam Cahill has confirmed his management and support team for the 2027 season, with a number of new additions joining the set-up.
Cahill will continue at the helm as Tipperary look towards the re-capturing of their All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship crown from 2025, with Toomevara’s Michael Bevans remaining in his role as head coach.
Brian O’Meara of Mullinahone and Shannon Rovers’ Sean O’Meara will serve as selectors, while Dublin native Paul O’Brien has been appointed as a selector and will also provide coaching support.
Holycross Ballycahill’s Aidan Stakelum is another addition to the coaching team in a support role.
There are also changes within the wider backroom set-up, with John Murphy of Clara in Kilkenny coming on board in strength and conditioning.
Diarmuid Cahill of Kilruane MacDonaghs will take up the role of goalkeeping coach, while Anne Marie Kennedy joins in a sports performance capacity.
The announcement also confirms the departures of selectors Declan Laffan of Loughmore Castleiney and TJ Ryan of Clonoulty Rossmore, along with strength and conditioning coach Angelo Walsh of Borris-Ileigh.
Tipperary GAA acknowledged the contribution of all three, who were part of the backroom team during the county's successful 2025 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship campaign.
The county board also welcomed the new members of Cahill's set-up as preparations begin for the 2027 season.
