The 79th Shane Hennessy Agri-Advisor West Senior Football Championship Final takes place this Sunday, December 8, with the meeting of Golden/Kilfeacle and Galtee Rovers in Sean Treacy Park, Tipperary Town at 11am.

Finish on the day rules apply.

The sides are meeting in the final for the first time since 1999 when Galtee Rovers came out on top, 1-10 to 0-5 in a game that was also played at Sean Treacy Park.

The sides had previously clashed in the 1988 final, which saw Golden/Kilfeacle win by 0-8 to 0-5 in Emly.

Galtee Rovers will be aiming for a first title in the grade since 2018 when they claimed their 26th title.

Golden/Kilfeacle last tasted honours in the Senior football final back in 1996 when they completed two in a row.

Golden/Kilfeacle will be seeking a fifth West Senior Football title. They also have a title from 1980; when joined with Rockwell they defeated Cashel King Cormacs.

The O’Carroll Cup will be presented to the winners.
