Watch the Clonmel parade take off from the West Gate

St Patrick's Day Parade took off from under the West Gate in  Clonmel with huge crowds waiting in anticipation for the event to take place.

The Mayor of Clonmel paid tribute to all of the community groups that participated in the St Patrick’s Day Parade in Clonmel.

“It was a great day. I am very proud of all of the community groups in Clonmel and the way in which they came out on the day to be part of the celebration,” said the Mayor of Clonmel Cllr Pat English.

Cllr English praised the work of volunteers who were the backbone of those community organisations, which he said, were all doing tremendous work in the town.
