Have you got what it takes to join the gardaí ? Our reporter went to Templemore to find out!

Check out how Stephen Gleeson got on on a day trip to the Garda College in Templemore....

An Garda Síochána invited the Media to Templemore to experience the preselection fitness test and Tipperary based reporter Stephen Gleeson went along to do the test and see if it was something attainable - with some training.

Policing is intrinsically rewarding as a career but to reach the trainee stage you must go through a rigorous selection procedure, designed to test whether you have the qualities necessary to become a successful member of An Garda Síochána.

Being a Garda is a tough job - but it’s a job worth doing.

Check out how Stephen got on via the video above.

If you would like to join the force you can apply before 3pm, 8th February 2024 via publicjobs.ie or click at This Link to the Public Jobs website
