Tipperary GAA fans making the trip to Croke Park today are being urged to plan ahead as showers and stadium restrictions could catch some off guard.

Met Éireann is forecasting a wet and changeable day in Dublin, with outbreaks of rain this morning and the chance of heavier showers this afternoon.

Some drier and brighter spells may break through, but it's best to be prepared for all conditions.

However, fans hoping to shield themselves from the rain with an umbrella will be disappointed.

According to the official Croke Park website: "Umbrellas are not permitted in the stadium for the courtesy and safety of all spectators."

Instead, attendees are advised to bring a rain poncho and dress appropriately, as most seating areas are exposed to the elements.

Other matchday reminders include no large bags or backpacks, with only small bags (A4 size or smaller) allowed inside. Bags may be searched on entry, so early arrival is advised.

Throw-in for the All-Ireland hurling final between Tipperary and Cork is at 3.30pm, with a capacity crowd expected at GAA HQ - rain or shine.
