Sharlene Mawdsley was forced to withdraw from her heat in the Women's 400m first round heat at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in Apeldoorn on Friday morning.
Mawdsley was due to compete in the first heat at around 11.30am this morning in the individual event. However, she was forced to withdraw from the race due to a hamstring injury likely sustained in the Mixed 4x400m relay final on Thursday night, where Mawdsley ran a strong time of sub-50 seconds.
Her involvement is now in jeopardy for the Women's 4x400m relay later this weekend.
