Six Tipperary SPAR stores were honoured at the recent SPAR 365 Standards Customer Care Programme for achieving exceptional standards in retailing, which was held in Lawlor’s Hotel, in Naas and hosted by BWG Foods, owners and operators of the SPAR brand in Ireland.

This year’s SPAR 365 Awards, held in association with independent bodies Solution Management Associates (SMA) and Lloyds Register Quality Assurance LRQA, recognise those SPAR stores who have excelled during the year across all areas of store.

In winning these awards, the SPAR stores were independently assessed across a range of criteria including customer service through SMA as well as a robust Food Safety and Hygiene audit conducted by LRQA.

These exemplary SPAR retailers received their award in recognition of their commitment to implementing Best practice store standards throughout their store, thereby providing an excellent customer experience to their local community.

The Tipperary stores who received a SPAR 365 Retailing Standards Award are:

Michael O’Brien, O’Brien’s SPAR Borrisokane
Pat and Una McDonagh, McDonagh’s SPAR Tipperary Plaza
SPAR Corrib Oil Carrick-on-Suir
Ben Lenihan, SPAR Inver Bansha Road; SPAR Inver Limerick Road
Gary Harvey, Harvey’s SPAR Racecourse Road, Thurles
