County Tipperary Chamber welcomed Minister Jack Chambers, Minister for Public Expenditure, NDP Delivery & Reform, as guest speaker at this week’s Presidents Lunch at The Lakeside Hotel, Ballina.
Minister Chambers addressed a full room of local business leaders, outlining the Government’s plans to support enterprise, invest in infrastructure, and improve the competitiveness of the national economy.

Behind the scenes, the Chamber made sure the voice of Tipperary businesses was heard.
In a private meeting, Chamber CEO Michelle Aylward raised key issues impacting members across the county — including the N24 upgrade, the Thurles Bypass, IDA site delivery in Clonmel, and the need for realistic funding and timelines for town centre regeneration.
The Chamber also made one thing clear: Tipperary must be named in the revised National Development Plan (NDP), not just mentioned. Clear commitments are needed — and the Chamber is ready to work with Government to deliver them.

“Our members are investing, hiring and exporting but they need the infrastructure and support to keep growing,” said Aylward. “Tipperary isn’t asking for handouts; we’re asking for delivery. Because when investment meets ambition, Tipperary delivers.”
Minister Chambers acknowledged the Chamber’s leadership role and committed to continued engagement with the county as the NDP review progresses.
This meeting is part of the Chamber’s ongoing work to ensure that local business is represented, respected, and included in Ireland’s future growth plans.
