Clonmel hairdresser Rionna in line for top award

A Clonmel based salon has been selected as a finalist in the 10th Annual Schwarzkopf Professional Irish Hairdressing Business Awards which will take place in the Mansion House, Dublin on Monday, 22nd October.

Rionna Linanne, who works as a trainee at Hype Hair and Beauty, unit 7,The Showgrounds shopping Centre, Davis Road, Clonmel, has been nominated in the category of ‘Munster Trainee of the Year’ and will compete against a number of other young hopefuls at the event next month.

Hype’s sister salon in Waterford was also nominated for five awards including Munster Salon of the Year.

The Awards, which this year will celebrate their 10th anniversary, recognise exceptional business acumen and the most talented and committed salons in the Irish hairdressing industry.

Commenting on her nomination, Rionna said; “I’m so happy and excited to get to the final of the Schwarzkopf Munster Trainee of the Year. If I was chosen it would be a dream come true. I cannot wait for the awards in Dublin in October – fingers crossed!.”
