Good weather was perfect time to introduce Beavers to wonderful world of camping

With the recent spell of good weather it was the perfect time to introduce Beavers to the wonderful world of camping overnight!

So last weekend a very excited group of children with packed rucksacks headed off to the field behind the Day Care Centre for their first ever camping trip.

With great help from the Beavers the fantastic group of Scout leaders made sure everything was set up just right with several tents, a camp kitchen and dining area as well as access to toilets the Beavers had everything they needed to have a great night.

This was to finish up the Beaver year for the summer and the Beavers tie dyed neckerchiefs, made rockets, played loads of games, prepared their own food, pitched and slept in their own tents and had of course, they had a campfire.

They beavers made homemade pizzas for lunch and Conn beavers did the wash up after.

They went orienteering to the Swiss Cottage and picked up some treats along the way and at the Swiss they played some water games.

Sounds like a full day of fun!

The following morning the children enjoyed playing in the sunshine before parents came to pick them up and bring them home.

Well done to the Scout Leaders who looked after the children and entertained them so well and well done to all the brave Beavers who took part.

I bet they all slept very well at home in their own beds that night!
