Trials cancelled at Clonmel Greyhound Stadium this morning due to the low temperatures

A night at the greyhounds to raise funds for South Tipperary Hospice Movement

The frosty morning in Clonmel has meant that the trials set to take place there later on this morning have been cancelled.

A call has been made with the decision related to the harsh temperatures this morning across the county meaning that it isn't possible for the trials to take place safely.

A post online from Clonmel Greyhound Stadium stated "After heavy frost last night there will be NO TRIALS in Clonmel this morning Friday 3rd Jan an update on tonight's racing later in the day".

The low temperatures are set to continue for the coming days which may play havoc with sporting fixtures nationwide.

There is a thaw expected late next week.
