Carrick Swan GAA Club's lotto jackpot was finally won last Thursday night
Carrick Swan GAA Club congratulates Carol Healey of Leeds in the UK who was the sole winner of the Club's €16,000 Lotto Jackpot last week.
The Swan Club wishes Carol happy spending of her winnings.
Sixteen people matched 3 numbers and won €20 each. Numbers drawn last week were 03, 04,10, 27.
The Lotto jackpot is €2,000 this week. The draw takes place on Thursday night each week, and costs €2 to enter.
Adult Hurling
The Under 21 hurlers came from behind to beat Killenaule in the South quarter-final on Saturday at Páirc na nEalaí. The Swan team won by 7 points. The Club congratulates the team.
That win sets up a semi-final fixture against St. Patrick’s in Kilsheelan at 2pm on Saturday, November 2.
The Under 21s leave down the hurleys and pick up the big ball next week for their football championship opener. They travel to Cloneen to take on St. Patrick’s in the South football quarter-final on Saturday at 3.30pm.
Juvenile Scene
The Under 17 footballers achieved a one point victory over Kilsheelan on Sunday morning to make it two wins out of two. Well done boys. They next travel to Ballingarry to play the home side on Sunday, October 27 at 1pm.
Meanwhile, the Club congratulates the Under 13 hurlers who made it six wins from seven games in the Winter League on Sunday with a victory over St. Patrick’s. That concludes the league section, and the team now await their next game. .
Well done to the Under 10 girls who attended the Tipperary Festival of Camogie in Dr. Morris Park on Sunday. It was the last outing of the year for the girls, who all enjoyed the day. The Swan Club thanks the girls, their parents and all the coaches who travelled on Sunday and throughout the year.
The Under 7 (cygnet) players' final training session for 2024 took place last week and finished up with games at the end of the night where the Cygnets took on, and beat may their parents.
All the kids really enjoyed the evening, and the Club thanks them for their great commitment and the great progress they have made all year.
The club also thanks to the parents for all they have done and the coaches who have helped out throughout the year. The dedication and time the underage coaches give is really appreciated.

The Club thanks Lidl Carrick-On-Suir for their support of the Premier Intermediate hurlers all year. Lidl provided refreshments to the team from their first League game last March to the County Final earlier this month. Lidl’s generosity to Swan teams dates back many years.
