One of Carrick-on-Suir Athletics Club’s rising stars was honoured at Tipperary Athletics Awards last Friday for her success in Munster triple and long jump championships.
Teenager Sarah Bartley from Kilcash received an award at the ceremony in the Horse & Jockey Hotel for her achievements over the past year.
Those achievements include breaking the Munster Track & Field record for the Under 15 Triple Jump (9.31m) in June last year.
Sarah also came first in Under 16 Triple Jump and third in the Under 16 Long Jump at the Munster Indoors Championships in Nenagh last month.
She will compete in the All-Ireland Indoor Championships in both events on March 30.
