Tipperary County Council has made an order to temporarily close the R-697 at the XL156 Level Crossing at the Cregg Road, Carrick-on-Suir for several days over the next week to facilitate upgrade works at the railway crossing.
The Council proposes to close the road at the level crossing take place from 8.30am on Saturday, July 12 until 5pm on Tuesday, July 15.
Traffic travelling in the southbound direction will be diverted via the L-2607 at Cregg, turning left onto the L-2605-2.
Traffic travelling in the northbound direction will be diverted via the L-2601 at Poulmaleen, then turning left onto the R-696.
