The company say that water supply is now fully restored to customers in Carrick-on-Suir.

Burst water main could cause disruption in Dundalk today

Uisce Éireann crews restored supply to customers in Carrick-on-Suir following a burst to a water main yesterday afternoon.

The burst impacted water supply to customers in the Greenhills housing estate and surrounding areas.

Crews were onsite over the weekend and yesterday working to locate and repair the leak to ensure that supply was restored as quickly as possible.

Pierce Faherty, Uisce Éireann Water Operations Manager in Tipperary, said: "Uisce Éireann acknowledges the inconvenience caused by the prolonged interruption to the water supply and sincerely thanks our customers for their patience and cooperation while this essential repair work was carried out. The repairs were particularly complex, which meant the works took longer to complete than initially anticipated.”
