Mixed fortunes for Carrick-on-Suir GAA club's busy teams

Carrick Swan Premier Intermediate hurlers play St Mary's in Fethard on Saturday, September 6 at 2.30pm in the third round of the Séamus Ó'Riain Cup. 

The Club's Junior A Footballers defeated St Pat’s by a point in the South Semi-Final.

They now face Ballylooby/Castlegrace in Clonmel Sportsfield on Sunday, September 14 at 2pm.

The Junior B football team play Moyle Rovers in the South Quarter-Final in Cloneen on Wednesday, September 3 at 6.45pm

Under age teams

The Under 17A hurlers lost their last two group games to Mullinahone and Moyle Rovers. They are awaiting details of a possible Shield competition.

Meanwhile, the Under 15A hurlers are still awaiting fixture details for the South Semi-Final while the two Under 13 hurling teams will now compete in the Shield.

The first team plays Moyle Rovers on Friday at 6:30pm on The Green.

The Under 9 hurlers travel to Thurles next Saturday for the Fiserv Hurling Blitz with games in Semple Stadium and Dr Morris Park.

Camogie

The Under 16 camogie team were defeated by Lorrha over the weekend while the Junior B Girls play Clonoulty next Sunday at 6:30pm in Clonoulty.

Played for Tipp

Well done to Charlie Torpey Walsh, Alex O’Dwyer, Noah Power and Jack Raymond, who proudly represented Tipperary last weekend.

Condolences

The club wishes to extend its heartfelt sympathy to the O’Dwyer family of Mountain View, the Walsh family of Collins Park and Keevan family of Ard Mhuire.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time,” said a Swan Club spokesperson.
