Tributes are paid to a gentle, young Tipperary man by family members at funeral service

Mourners attending the funeral Mass of a Mullinahone man was told he “brought a light into every room”.
The Mass took place on Sunday in St Michael’s Church Mullinahone as people gathered to support the family of the late Niall Brennan of 8 River Court, Mullinahone and formerly of Gurteen Pen, Mullinahone.

HEARTBROKEN
Parishioners and friends gathered to pay sympathy to his heartbroken parents Margaret and Paul, his brothers John and Matthew, uncles Alan,Robert, Tony, Patrick and Michael, aunts Patricia, Angela, Bernadette,Ann, Bridie, Mary and Kathleen and relatives neighbours.

Burial took place afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetery, Killaghy, Mullinahone.

WARM SMILE
Mourners were told by his aunt, who spoke on behalf of the family, that Niall brought a light into every room with “a kind word, a warm smile or a helping hand”.
She told mourners that Niall studied media studies and he excelled at art.

TALENT FOR ART
He won many prestigious art prizes for his work in the Texaco Art Competition, the Community Games and in STAG competitions.
She spoke of many happy memories she had of Niall spending his summer holidays with her family in Longford.
“He was a gentle and loving young man,” she said.

GENEROUS NATURE

She said that Niall loved video games and boxing and was a big Real Madrid fan.
“He was of a generous nature and he will always be in our hearts,” she said.
Niall, who was 30-years-old, had been missing since October 13 and there had been a huge community effort and co-ordinated search to find him.

Following the discovery of a man’s body on Wednesday of last week, the missing person appeal for Niall Brennan was stood down.

The body of the male, named locally as Niall Brennan, was removed from the scene and a post-mortem examination took place.

PUBLIC ASSISTANCE
An Garda Síochána thanked the media and the public for their assistance.
