Tributes have been paid online following the passing of Fr Daniel O'Neill from Ayle, Cappawhite earlier this week.
Messages have been posted online paying homage to Fr Daniel or "Fr Dan" as he was known by his parishioners:
"God bless you Father Dan you did so much for me you were a wonderful man and your memory will live on."
"What a man. Played an irreplaceable part in my families life, one of a kind. Rest easy Father."
"Lovely man who was so supportive - thank you and glad you’re now out of pain."
Fr Daniel O'Neill, was a former priest in Middlesborough, UK and Ardglass Co. Down.
He is predeceased by his brothers Sean and Paul, sisters Nodie, Lily and Mary. He will be sadly missed by his loving brothers Morgan and Paddy, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, fellow priests and parishioners, cousins, relatives and close friends.
His funeral will be arriving in Our Lady of Fatima Church Cappawhite (E34 YH93) on Thursday (15th August) at 7 pm. Requiem Mass Friday at 11 am with burial afterwards in Cappawhite cemetery.
