A planning application for a new Bed and Breakfast in Cashel has been submitted to Tipperary County Council for consideration.
The application seeks to change the use of the existing structure at 9 John Street, and William Street, Cashel, from private dwelling to a bed and breakfast facility.
The proposed development would include 9 guest bedrooms in the building which dates back to around 1830.

A conservation report undertaken as part of this application states that "the conversion of this property to a bed and breakfast facility will not detract from its general appearance or its significance as a protected structure and the revitalization of the
building will benefit the terrace of structures on John Street, and ensure its upkeep into the future.
The report also states that a new bed and breakfast will add an attractive option to the tourist accommodation available in the Cashel area.
No works will be undertaken to change the buildings structure, as the application intends to only change it's use from a private dwelling to a bed and breakfast.
Tipperary County Council is scheduled to make a decision on the proposal by February 1 2026.
