The victims of the road traffic accident in Clonmel From top L to R: Nicole Murphy, Grace McSweeney, Zoey Coffey, and Luke McSweeney
A Book of Condolences will be opened by the Mayor of Clonmel Cllr Richie Molloy on Monday to allow people of the town to show their support for the bereaved families of the four young people who died on Friday evening in a road traffic accident.
The people of south Tipperary can begin signing the Book of Condolences from 11am at the offices of Tipperary County Council in Clonmel and pay their respects to the four young people who lost their lives in the accident - Luke McSweeney and his sister Grace, Zoey Coffey and Nicole Murphy.
"It was an horrendous tragedy. There has been a very powerful show of support from the people of the town to the families. There was an eerie feeling around the town today. It was heartbreaking to see so many young people walking around shell-shocked. It was very moving to see all of the floral tributes at the Loreto Convent, " said Cllr Molloy.
"The lives of four young people were taken in seconds. I would like to pay tribute to all of the members of the emergency services who carried out their duty in a most professional and dilligent manner in the most traumatic of circumstances," said Cllr Molloy.
