Gardaí have conducted a multi-agency operation on Wednesday and Thursday as part of ongoing investigations into an incident of aggravated burglary and criminal damage by fire that occurred in Clonmel on March 18.
Gardaí from the Tipperary South Community Engagement Functional Area have carried the operation supported by members of the Army, National Parks and Wildlife Service, ISPCA and Customs and is ongoing.

During the course of the operation, seven persons have been arrested and detained on suspicion of serious offences. Seven have now been charged to appear in front of the Cashel District Court on Thursday, April 3.

In addition to the arrests, gardaí have also searched a number of domestic premises and seized a quantity of drugs, weapons and suspected stolen property, as well as eight dogs in relation to animal welfare offences.
Investigations are ongoing.
