Hidden gems revealed for unique Tipperary Music Festival, When Next We Meet

When Next We Meet festival takes place on Saturday June 7 and Sunday June 8

When Next We Meet returns to Raheen House in  Clonmel next month with what promises to be its most compelling edition yet.

Now in its fourth chapter, the festival is unveiling a lineup that blends some of Ireland’s most celebrated acts with a strong showcase of emerging and local talent, further cementing its place as a standout event in the Irish music calendar.

This year’s main stage offering is arguably the festival’s strongest to date. On Saturday, June 7th, Pillow Queens will bring their captivating brand of indie-rock to Clonmel, while on Sunday, June 8th, Villagers—led by the critically acclaimed Conor O’Brien—will close out the weekend with a headline performance that’s already generating buzz nationwide.

These headliners, both at the height of their creative powers, reflect the festival’s dedication to presenting the very best of contemporary Irish music.
Beyond the headliners, When Next We Meet continues to deliver on its commitment to supporting Ireland’s most exciting rising stars.

Paddy Hanna and Zoé Basha, both fresh off the release of widely praised albums, have earned national airplay, rave reviews, and nods already for album of the year. Morgana, who has previously performed at Other Voices in both Dingle and Wales, brings a distinct presence to the lineup and is slated to rise quickly and prolifically.

Skinner’s growing momentum both in Ireland and across Europe ensures his set will be one to watch, while Join Me In The Pines—helmed by Bell X1’s David Geraghty—returns to Raheen House just ahead of an anticipated album release in 2025.
Central to the festival’s ethos is a deep-rooted commitment to local talent, something that shines brightly through the Hidden Gems Stage.

Nestled in the walled garden of Raheen House, this space is dedicated to artists from or based in Tipperary who are creating and performing original music.

The Hidden Gems Stage will feature a range of voices and styles across the weekend.
Saturday will see performances from Bowden, Eve Whelan, and Noah Hayes, with DJ Paulie spinning an upbeat vinyl set to close out the evening.
On Sunday, the stage welcomes Briars, The Wood of O, Sun Merchant, and MDR, with DJ Lorcan Ryan keeping the musical energy alive throughout the day.

Festival founders Kate Twohig and Eoin Hally, both Clonmel natives, remain passionate about providing meaningful opportunities for local artists to share their work without compromise.

Their partnership with the Tipperary Museum of Hidden History has helped to shape the Hidden Gems Stage as a platform where heritage and contemporary creativity intersect.

TIPPERARY MUSEUM
Speaking about the museum’s involvement, curator Marie McMahon expressed the importance of nurturing new voices while celebrating the county’s cultural roots. “Tipperary Museum of Hidden History’s music collection is a hidden gem and the link with the WNWM Hidden Gems Stage is tangible,” she said.

“It is important for us to support new, up-and-coming Tipperary musicians at the bespoke WNWM Festival. When we support these artists, we are securing the rich musical heritage of Tipperary for future generations and activating the museum’s inspiring collection and extending it into the festival and contemporary life.

We’re delighted to support the Hidden Gems Stage and look forward to a wonderful weekend full of music, fun and dancing.”
The festival’s organisers are deeply grateful for the support of the museum and are equally thankful to Clonmel Credit Union for their generous contribution to the Hidden Gems programme.

When Next We Meet takes place on Saturday, June 7th, and Sunday, June 8th, at Raheen House in Clonmel. Day tickets are available from €45, and weekend tickets are €85, plus fees, via Eventbrite.
