A Bealtaine event will be held in the Main Guard on May 24

The Tipperary Arts Office has organised an event during Bealtaine that will take place at the Main Guard in Clonmel on May 23 at 7pm.

Throughout the months of March and April, Eileen Acheson and Jenny Cox of Write Minds have worked with a group of writers to look back, through the lens of poetry, at social and personal changes over the last three decades and to look forward, with humour and hope, at what is to come.

Drawing inspiration from these changes and personal experiences, participants came together over the course of four poetry writing workshops to develop poems from first to final draft.

These finished poems have been printed and sustainably framed to be showcased at a Spoken Word event where the writers will read their inspiring work and talk about the writing process.
