The 35th annual Hospice Sunflower Days on-street collections have taken place in cities, towns and villages throughout the country last weekend, the 6th and 7th June, with volunteers selling an array of sunflower merchandise to help raise much needed funds for hospices and homecare services throughout Ireland.
Together for Hospice, The National Hospice Movement, is reminding the public that if you missed the volunteers, you can still support your local hospice or homecare service by donating online at www.sunflowerdays.ie until the end of June.
Hospices and homecare services rely heavily on fundraisers and donations from campaigns such as Hospice Sunflower Days to allow them to continue to provide their specialist care and support to patients living with life-limiting illnesses, and their families. Every euro raised locally, stays locally so by donating online before the end of June you can really make a difference and ensure that your local hospice or homecare services can continue to provide their vital services.

Sarah McCloskey, Governance Group Chair at Together for Hospice, The National Hospice Movement, commented, “We are delighted that so many people supported our on-street collections on the 6th and 7th June.
However, if you missed our volunteers there is still time to support your local hospice or homecare service for the Hospice Sunflower Days campaign by donating online until the end of June. Your support really does make a difference!”
