Planning permission has been sought in Tipperary for the change of use of a former office space into a new day care centre for children.
Busy Bees Afterschool Ltd are seeking permission from the council to change the use of a premises on Western Road in Clonmel and establish a childcare facility there.
With a significant number of children in Tipperary and across Ireland on waiting lists to attend creches, if permission is granted for this development it will be welcome news to many parents in the county.

The proposed plans for the premises include changes to the ground floor and first floor, which include an office, a reception, three children's rooms, a canteen and an accessible bathroom.
Tipperary County Council have until October 14 to make a decision about this application.
