Water production has resumed at the Goatenbridge Water Treatment Plant which supplies the Ardfinnan Regional Water Supply, after operational issues caused an interruption to supply overnight.
While the Water Treatment Plant is back in production and water is being restored to customers, the situation remains challenging and Uisce Éireann is continuing to closely monitor the plant.
Uisce Éireann’s Pierce Faherty said: “We understand the impact that unplanned outages can have on customers and would like to thank the local community for their patience and co-operation while we work to resolve the situation. ”
Alternative Water Supplies have been made available at Castle Car Park in Cahir, Clerihan Village Church, Ardfinnan Village, opposite the National School and Marlfield Village.
Customers are reminded to use their own containers when taking water from tankers and to boil water before consumption as a precautionary measure.
