Tipperary County Council have notified the public that will close a busy road in the town centre of Clonmel, for a period of two weeks.
The R688 Upper Gladstone Street, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary will be closed from its junction with Kickham Street, to its junction with Queen Street.
The council have advised that the road will be closed from 07:00hrs on Monday 27 October 2025 to 07:00hrs on Friday 14 November 2025.

Motorists in Clonmel are asked to take the alternative routes during the road closure.
Traffic travelling from Kickham Park or Prior Park Road should divert via R707 Queen Street, L-3605 Bolton Street and Mary Street and R884 O’Connell Street.
Local access will be granted for residents.

The council have explained that this closure is to facilitate the repair/replacement of water main and all associated works, including reinstatement of carriageway, footway& verges where required.
Objections to the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing to Road Closures, Roads & Transportation, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary not later than 12 noon on Thursday 09 October 2025 or by e-mail to roadclosures@tipperarycoco.ie
