An important update has been issued by the HSE today for those planning to visit Tipperary University Hospital.
Following a review meeting this morning, Tipperary University Hospital in Clonmel has said that they are continuing to implement visitor restrictions until further notice, to reduce the spread of Norovirus.
The hospital have warned that visiting will only be permitted in exceptional circumstances by arrangement with the Clinical Nurse Manager/Nurse in Charge.

Exceptions will be made by the Clinical Nurse Manger on the ward for end of life patients and critically ill patients.

These measures are vital to avoid spreading Norovirus amongst patients, visitors and staff.

Tipperary University Hospital has also thanked the public for their co-operation and understanding at this time.
Noroviruses are very contagious and can spread easily from person to person and is one of the most common causes of gastroenteritis (stomach bugs).
