Tipperary people have been warned about an ESB text scam doing the rounds.
Cllr Liam Browne said: "I would just like to tip people off about a scam text doing the rounds since Tuesday evening.
"It's in relation to discounted ESB/energy bills. It looks pretty professional, but just to re-iterate, never open links in a text message, and never give out personal information.
"Please let those not on social media know this is doing the rounds and be careful out there."
