John Hennessy

The death has occurred of John Hennessy, Knockeevan, Clerihan, Clonmel, Co Tipperary, 6th January 2026, peacefully in the presence of his family and surrounded by the caring staff of Melview Nursing Home.

John, much loved husband of Kathleen and father of Michael, Joseph, Caitriona, Claire, Martina and John. Forever missed by his cherished 18 grandchildren and daughters-in-law Irene, Margo & Amelie, sons-in-law Gerry, Tom & Simon, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

May he Rest In Peace.

Reposing at John O’Donoghue & Sons Funeral Home, Kickham St. Clonmel (E91PK19) on Thursday 8th January from 5pm to 7pm with removal on Friday 9th to St Michael’s Church, Clerihan arriving at 11.50am for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of attendance messages of comfort and sympathy can be left in the condolence section below.

(née McNamara)

Elliott (née, McNamara) June (Margaret), in her 93rd Year, (Glasnevin, Dublin and formerly of Ballyleague, Lanesborough, Co. Roscommon and Nenagh, Co. Tipperary), January 3rd, 2026, peacefully, at the Mater Hospital and previously in the care of Anam Cara, Glasnevin.

Beloved wife of the late Frank.

Sadly missed by her stepchildren, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her sister Frances, nieces, nephews, extended family, a wide circle of friends and former colleagues in Telecom Eireann. Predeceased by her brothers Morgan and George and her sister Sr. Clare.

Reposing in Lanigan’s Funeral Home, 21 Beaumont Road on Thursday 8th January from 3pm to 5pm.

Removal on Friday morning to Our lady of Dolours Church, Glasnevin arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am, followed by Cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium.

Niamh Kinnane

Niamh Kinnane, Tábhairneoir of Kinnanes Pub/Restaurant, Upperchurch Village, Thurles, Co.Tipperary. Peacefully in the Loving care of the Staff of Nenagh Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Paddy Kinnane and Kathleen (née Shanahan) and her brother in law Jimmy Butler. Deeply loved by her sister Siobhan Butler, nephew Fergal Butler, niece in law Eavan Fogarty, grandniece and grandnephew Maisie and Andy. All her very close and wonderful friends,relatives and neighbours.

Reposing at O'Dwyer's Funeral Home, Upperchurch (E41 FN34) on Wednesday evening (7th January) from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral arriving on Thursday afternoon to the Sacred Heart Church, Upperchurch for funeral Mass at 1pm followed by burial in the local cemetery.

(née Nolan)

And formerly Blackcastle, Two Mile Borris, Thurles, Co. Tipperary. Peacefully after a long illness bravely borne, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her daughter Niamh, parents Jack and Madge, brother John-Joe, nephew Joseph. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken family; devoted husband Chris, son Jarlath and his partner Meghan, grandchildren Jack, Leah and Ryan, sisters Anna (Power), Breda (Fallon, Two Mile Borris), Maureen (Ruth), nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law Joe, Joe, Richard, Michael, Tom and Michael, sisters-in-law Angela, Mary, Bríd, Carmel, Anne, Teresa and Pauline, cousins, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Hugh Ryan's Funeral Home, Slievenamon Road, Thurles on Thursday 8th January from 5pm to 7pm. Arriving at St. James' Church, Two Mile Borris on Friday 9th January at 11am for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Two Mile Borris Cemetery.

Eamonn O'MALLEY

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of

Eamonn O’Malley

late of Clogheen and formerly of Calderwood Road, Dublin.

Eamonn passed away peacefully, with his sister by his side,

in the kind and gentle care of Ellie, Sheila, Anne-Marie and all the team

in St Theresa's Hospital, Clogheen on January 5th 2026

 

Eamonn will be sadly missed by his sister Grace (Pidgeon),

brothers Kevin and Des (Australia).

He was predeceased by his loving siblings John, Neil and Jean.

Also his brother Declan.

In accordance with Eamonn's wishes, a private cremation will take place.

He will remain forever in our hearts.

The death has occurred of Sr Angela (Mary) Ryan, Presentation Convent, Clonmel, Co.Tipperary, and Carrigkettle, Kiltealy, Co.Limerick, 5th January 2026. Peacefully in the care of the staff at Sonas, Melview Nursing Home, Clonmel. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Hugh. Sr Angela, will be sadly missed by her Presentation Sisters, her sisters Ella and Patricia, her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and many faithful friends.

Reposing at the Presentation Convent, Clonmel this Wednesday afternoon (7th January) from 2.30 o'clock with removal to St.Mary's Church, Irishtown on Thursday morning (8th January) for Requiem Mass on arrival at 10 o'clock followed by interment in the Convent cemetery. 

Janet Spain

The death has occurred of Janet Spain, Middlequarter, Newcastle, Clonmel, Co Tipperary.

 

Janet passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family while in the gentle and compassionate care of the Palliative Team at Cashel Residential Older Persons Services on Tuesday morning. Janet will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted life partner Gus Kiely, his niece Doreen Radin and her husband Andrew and family, Seamus and Mary Kiely and family, Ann and Paul Duncan and family, Kevin and Mary Kiely and family, and last, but certainly not least, Ruby, her cherished rescue Bichon Frisé and ponies Osean and Sammy.

Janet's quick wit and humour will surely be missed.

(née Ó Dwyer)

Bridget Walsh, Spiddal, Co. Galway and formerly of Lisheenkyle, Donohill, Co. Tipperary passed away peacefully in her 95th year on the 5th January 2026. Predeceased by her husband Peter Walsh (Leitir Fir, Inverin) , and sons Jonathan and Timothy.

 

She is deeply missed by her loving son Peter, her sister Peggy, brother in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

 

Reposing on Wednesday evening the 7th of January at Naughton’s Funeral Home, Knock, Inverin (H91AF40) from 5.30pm with removal at 7pm to Cille Einde Church, Spiddal. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning at 11am with burial afterwards to Knock cemetery.
