Plans to turn old farm buildings in Tipperary into apartments lodged with council
A planning application has been lodged with Tipperary County Council to turn old farm buildings near Bansha into brand new apartments.
The council received plans on August 25 relating to farm buildings at Springhouse, Bansha, Co Tipperary. The application details plans to convert an old barn and various outhouses into a number of new apartments.
The application listed on the Tipperary County Council website states the applicant is applying for: "the conversion of disused farm structures to seven apartments; conversion of disused outhouse to an apartment; construction of a new barn, retention permission for conversion of disused farm structure to four apartments; new foul sewer serving new apartment discharging to existing wastewater treatment plant and to existing septic tank; new pumping and rising main serving outhouse apartment to new sewer collection system. This is within the curtilage of protection structures."
The council intend to announce their decision on this application on or before October 19, 2025.

Submissions can be made here on this application until September 28. The application can be inspected at the offices of Tipperary County Council during working hours.
