A planning application has been given the green light by Tipperary County Council to erect a "memorial plaque" in county Tipperary.
The application was made by Neil Ryan, Secretary of the Third Tipperary Brigade Old IRA Commemoration Committee.

The project includes associated site development works, effectively turning the area into a formal memorial space.
The memorial will be erected near the site of the former Third Tipperary Old IRA Brigade Headquarters, the application states.
The council attached two conditions to its decision.
