Tipperary County Council have received a planning permission application this week for renovations to take place at Fethard GAA Park.
The development proposed by the club will consist of the construction of a new two-storey clubhouse facility comprising of two changing rooms, showers, toilet facilities, a referees’ room, a meeting room, a medical/store room and a multi-purpose room.
The application also outlines that the club intent to demolish their existing spectator stand and construct of new one afterwards.

Plans also include a new hurling wall, installation of a footpath, perimeter fencing around the existing GAA pitch and the relocation of the existing electric scoreboard and of existing ball stop net also.
The GAA club site is bounded to the south by Fethard Town Walls, which is a protected structure.
Tipperary County Council have until November 27 to make a decision on the above planning application.
