JP McManus is donating to every county board in Ireland
Tipperary County Board are set to receive €1 million as a good will gesture from JP McManus who is donating the funds as he has seen the benefit of gaelic games in his own county Limerick, who are now going for five-in-a-row of All-Irelands in senior hurling, a feat that has never been achieved before.
The news will come as a welcome surprise to cash low Tipperary clubs who are in need of a boost an the good news will mean that over €6,000 will be distributed to clubs across the county.
It will benefit camogie, ladies football, gaelic football and hurling teams with the money set to benefit the grassroots of the game in each county.
Philip Lanigan, writing in Extra.ie revealed the news - and you can read the article at this link: read here - which says: "Billionaire Limerick financier JP McManus is donating €1 million to every GAA county board in Ireland for investment in Gaelic games.
"The money – a donation from the JP McManus Charitable Foundation – is to be evenly divided between GAA, camogie and ladies Gaelic football clubs."
