Two prominent members of GAA club in Tipperary have passed away

DJ Gleeson and PP O'Dwyer passed away recently

There has been great sadness in the Eire Og Annacarty GAA club following the death of club president DJ Gleeson.

DJ was an integral part of Eire Og since the 1950s. He gave a lifetime of service to Eire Og from his juvenile playing days in Garryshane NS to playing, coaching, administrating and even in his later years he continued to be a lotto seller for the club.

The club extends condolences to the Gleeson family on DJ’s passing.

The Eire Og club also extends condolences to the family and relatives of PP O’Dwyer, Rossacrowe who passed away last weekend.

PP was at the heart of the club for many years through his playing days, as well as on the committee, serving as club treasurer and being a major sponsor to the club over the years.
