The upgrade programme has introduced a new barrier system, a revised parking layout and additional landscaping.
The car park remains for customer use only. Under the new configuration, six parking spaces are reserved for staff, while provision has also been made for a disabled parking space for Blue Badge holders and a designated Age Friendly space. In addition, 24 spaces are available for general customer use.
Landscaping has been used strategically as part of the redesign. New planting restricts access to parking spaces located close to the Mitchell Street entrance and exit points.
These areas had previously presented challenges from an access and egress perspective. The changes are intended to reduce congestion and improve safety for drivers entering and leaving the site.
Customers exiting the car park are required to use a pin code, which is available from the welcome desk pod inside the bank building. The new barrier system forms part of the broader effort to manage access and ensure the car park operates as intended.
