AS IT STANDS: Race for second and third seats in Tipperary North looking to go to the wire

In Tipperary South Mattie McGrath and Michael Murphy are well ahead of the race.

Mattie McGrath (6,469) is moving clear of the competition after the latest cluster of votes were counted in Thurles.

Michael Murphy (5,540) is his closest challenger and is also in a good position at this stage, while Imelda Goldsboro (3,451), Seamus Healy (3,095), and current sitting TD Martin Browne (3,048) bringing up the rear.

108 boxes (68%) have been counted so far In Tipperary South. 

Tipperary North

Michael Lowry is coasting to re-election in Tipperary North after latest count:

Independent Michael Lowry (8,278) is coasting his way to re-election in the latest count in Tipperary North.

Alan Kelly (4,744), and Ryan O'Meara (4,130) are continuing to separate themselves from the other candidates with Michael Smith (3,372) the only other realistic challenger

109 boxes (68%) have been counted to date.
