REVEALED: Tally wrong in Tipperary South as first General Election results revealed

Follow all the results, reaction and analysis from the Count Centre here in Thurles as Tipperary South and Tipperary North votes are counted to elect three TDs in each constituency for the 2024 General Election

The first count for Tipperary South has just been revealed and it's showing different results than the initial tally.

The tight race for fourth place between Martin Browne and Seamus Healy initially showed Healy ahead with 4,656 votes and Browne behind with 4,647.

However, the first count has revealed that Browne is actually the leader of the two with 4,937 and Seamus Healy behind at 4,795.

Meanwhile, Mattie McGrath is on the cusp of grabbing that first seat with 10,014 votes and Michael Murphy is in second at 8,371.

Imelda Goldsboro is holding onto that third place spot with a strong 5,838 votes.
