A young Laois man has lost his life in a crash in Tipperary.
It is understood the man, aged in his early 20s, is a Mountrath native, was involved in an overnight collision in the Thurles area.
There were two other people in the car at the time but no other injuries have been reported.
The deceased was well-known in GAA circles as a very talented young hurler.
The accident happened in the early hours of Thursday, March 2.
