Liam Cahill has kept everyone guessing with his team selection

The Tipperary team to play Cork sees a number of positional switches on paper which is sure to keep Cork wondering who they are marking. Seamus Kennedy, who spend a portion of the spring in attack, is back on the half back line where he will look to build attacks alongside Bryan O'Mara and Ronan Maher who is listed at five but is likely to take on a roving, sweeper type role. Michael Breen is listed at full back this time so the possibility is that Ronan Maher and Breen may be fluid positionally in defence. This will help stem the foraging attacks of Darragh Fitzgibbon and company.

The dependable Cathal Barrett, who kept Tony Kelly in his pocket last time out, is at number two and it remains to be seen if he will pick up Patrick Horgan and do a similiar man marking job on the Cork skill king. In the other corner Johnny Ryan has nailed down his berth. Steady and quick, the Arravale defender is becoming a real dependable player in the modern game. He starts at four while Barry Hogan stays put and minds the goals.

In centrefield Roscrea workhorse and ball winner Alan Tynan is alongside the captain Noel McGrath.

Gearoid O'Connor, the Fitzgibbon cup winner with the University of Limerick, leads the attack while Dan McCormack and Conor Stakelum are on the wings.  Jason Forde is at corner forward and is expected to hit the frees. Jake Morris, who hit 2-4 last time out, is at full forward and goal getter against Clare with his first touch - Sean Ryan - completes the attack with the Templederry forward really after having lit up the league.

All in all a steady team with positions changes. It will keep Cork guessing. John McGrath is in the subs this time around alongside his cousins, Pauric and John Campion. Bonner Maher is also on the subs bench with Seamus Callanan having improved sufficiently from his injury to be amongst the match day panel. Here is the team and subs:
