The Wood of O Will McLellan and Breege Phelan
Tipperary act, The Wood of O, have been shortlisted for the final of the Night and Day song contest.
The group is comprised of singer-songwriter Breege Phelan, songwriter Will McLellan, guitarist Liam O'Reilly, bassist Tom Scanlan and Rebekah Keogh on backing vocals.
The overall winner of the contest will preform at this year's festival – alongside acts such as Mercury Rev, Pillow Queens, Hot House Flowers, Wallis Bird, WhenYoung and Emma Langford -and will receive a days filming and two days editing with Lensmen Photography and Video Production as well as their choice of studio to record in.
The runner up and second runner up will also get a days recording in one of our sponsored studios.
The partnered studios include the prestigious Hell Fire Studios in the Dublin mountains - where artists such as Hozier, Sinead O’Connor, Liam O Maonlai, Sharron Shannon and Lankum have all recorded albums – as well as Dublin studio Soundcaster Studios as well as Galway’s Paddy Jordan Recording.

The band compose unique and original material, which ranges in genre from alt/folk to atmospheric electronica.
The Wood of O have been regularly playing sold out shows in the South East. Their next appearance will be as part of the Clancy Brothers Music & Arts Festival on Sunday June 4 at 8pm, in Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary.
