Had his customary moments of magic in linking up some of the play - most notably a pair of semi-goalscoring chances for Alan Tynan - but his usual assuredness from shooting range deserted him, hitting four poor wides which sucked the momentum from Tipp. And that is a pity, as the captain had a fine year overall.
