Moloney welcomes the new EV charging points to Cahir
Cllr Andy Moloney has welcomed the introduction of the new Electric Vehicle charging station installed in the Castle Street Car park in Cahir this week.
The local councillor had been very vocal at council level on the economic disadvantage the area was without the facility.
He has claimed that people were planning their itineraries around charging points and especially since more and more hired cars are turning EV.
Tourists were less likely to visit the Mitchelstown Caves, the Swiss Cottage or the Vee when they were watching the battery limits.
He thanked Michael Tierney from the Council for his contribution and help and now that we have the points it should be a help in retaining visitors to the area.
