Over €500 raised at Tipperary farmers market for local cancer support service

Thanks to all that supported our raffle in aid of Suir Haven. A total of €559.00 was raised – well done, also to the donors especially Ger Skehan, Richard Wright and TJ Donnelly.

Winners – load of fuel – Bernie Stapleton, Josie Kavanagh, Marie Galvin.

Thanks also to Suir Haven Cancer Support Centre for their help on Saturday. The centre offers a range of services such as support, holistic and complimentary therapies, counselling, information and Education and Health Awareness.

All services are provided free of charge. The Suir Haven Cancer Support Centre, Clongour, Thurles can be contacted by telephoning 0504 21197 Monday 12pm– 7pm, Tuesday – Friday 9.30am – 2pm.

Food and Craft producers are invited to become members of the Market to give customers a wider selection and to help keep the Market in operation.

A move to a new location in Thurles town centre at the town park car park is not expected until 2025 – we will know more next month as we are due to meet with the council about the Thurles Market Quarter Project.

Our baker – Mary offers you the best in baked goods, Hammersley’s Butcher stall offers so much more than locally produced meat of the finest quality.

They also offer Tipperary Honey, Magner’s Farm Eggs, Clonismullen Milk and Cashel Blue Cheese. Real Food produced locally - shopping local is really important for the local economy, the local food skill set, and for the security of supplies locally.

Michael Ryan offers a wide range of vegetables, fruit and juices in addition to carrying Gerry Ryan’s (Dundrum) and Joe Molloy’s (Raheen, Holycross) Honey.

Michael also offers hen and duck eggs. TJ Donnelly is the man for your winter fuel needs – custom orders can be delivered.
