Tipperary has come away relatively unscathed from Storm Debi with no power outages currently being reported on the ESB PowerCheck website.

Neighbouring counties have been hit hard with outages, Limerick in particular, but the Premier County seems to have avoided the worst of the storm.

Thousands are without power across the country as gusts of over 100km/h were felt across Ireland on Monday night and into Monday morning.

A Status Orange wind warning remains in place in Tipperary until 10am and after that a Status Yellow wind warning will remain in place until 3pm on Monday and schools and pre-schools will not be opening until 10am.

Several counties are enduring a Status Red wind warning.

They include Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Louth, Meath, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath.

Possible impacts:
- Damage to exposed and vulnerable structures
- Disruption to services and transport
