Planning has been granted for a major development at a Tipperary racecourse.
Powerstown Park Ltd has been granted planning permission by Tipperary County Council for the construction of new weighroom building including facilities for jockey changing and welfare, trainers, stewards, media and first aid.
It also includes roof-mounted solar PV panels, the decommissioning/demolition of the existing weighroom/tote facilities and associated wastewater treatment system.
It will also see the construction of a new wastewater treatment system and soil polishing filter and associated site works including hard and soft landscaping, access roads and paths.
The development address is at Clonmel Racecourse, Powerstown Demesne, Clonmel, E91 EP20.
The council attached six conditions to their decision.
