Planning has been granted to turn a Tipperary castle into a "private residence".
Maurice Regan made the application to Tipperary County Council for the fitting-out of Anner Castle as a "private residence following the completed fabric restoration in 2019".
The latest application includes eight bedrooms and associated bathrooms, wheelchair accessible lift, refurbishment and extension of the existing north staircase, the completion of the two number ancillary circulation staircases, new foul water treatment system and all with the associated site development works.
The development address is at Anner Castle, Ballinamore, county Tipperary, E91KH31.
The council attached five conditions to their decision.
