One of Ireland’s most beloved wedding venues, award winning Cloughjordan House, is proud to unveil The Baker Room—a striking new garden pavilion that blends contemporary elegance with centuries of tradition. The light-filled, glass-enclosed space marks not only a new chapter for the estate, but also a deeply personal milestone for the Baker family, who have nurtured Cloughjordan House from its dairy farm roots into a thriving destination for celebration, memories and understated elegance.

Nestled within the walled gardens of the 800-year-old property, The Baker Room offers panoramic views of the grounds, a seamless connection to nature, and a warm, architectural presence inspired by the house’s relaxed charm. With its clean lines, natural materials, and year-round versatility, it’s an ideal setting for weddings, gatherings. While purpose-built with weddings in mind, the space will also lend itself perfectly to retreats, workshops and creative escapes – always in keeping with the spirit of Cloughjordan House.

The Baker Room is more than a beautiful venue—it’s a reflection of legacy. Named in honour of the family who lovingly transformed Cloughjordan House from a working dairy farm into one of Ireland’s most sought-after wedding destinations, it also marks the transition to a new generation of leadership. Julie Baker, eldest daughter of founders Peter and Sarah Baker, has stepped into the role of General Manager, joined by her husband, Stephen Gondry.

“The Baker Room represents everything we care about: family, nature, great food, and making people feel at home,” said Julie Baker. “It’s a space that looks to the future, but is deeply connected to our past.”

“When we first opened our doors, we couldn’t have imagined how Cloughjordan House would grow as a destination,” added Peter Baker, who co-founded the weddings business with his wife Sarah two decades ago. “Seeing this leap forward in our family business is incredibly meaningful for us. The Baker Room is the perfect symbol of that evolution.”

The Baker Room is now open for bookings for weddings and events from Summer 2025 onward.
